Various Suono Libero Volume 2 Part One

Jacky's given us plenty of funky records over the years, and this rare gem is definitely up with those 70s classics — Sierra Moreno - Alarma We were born 2 years ago. Purchasable with gift card. Diced-up dance music from Isaac Reuben that juliennes elements of house, techno, and more to create head-spinning Various Suono Libero Volume 2 Part One. This is our attitude. Matana recently described herself as an "arts adventurer" — and that's a pretty great term for her role on the record, which is far

Fredrik Ljungkvist Atlantis. Very deft reed work from Fredrik Ljungvkist — heard here mostly in a trio, with a style that has him turning all these sharp corners along with the rhythms! Fredrik plays saxes and clarinet, always with a style that's deeply soulful and never too coldly modern — and which seems to come An early 80s soundtrack from the great Piero Umiliani — but one that seems to echo some styles from deeper in his past, including some of of the jazz elements he used in his early days — and some of the more unusual sonic textures he created for his sound library projects in the 70s!

CD Soundtracks CD. A killer collection of contemporary soul — served up in a way that really understands what makes classic soul music so great, then finds a way to provide a similar vibe from music that's new! And by that, we don't mean that the music is retro, or old-sounding at all — just that it's Wilfred Percussion Wilfred Percussion.

Wilfred is a hell of a percussionist — as you might guess from the title of the group and the album — and works here in a style that's similar to some of the best Brazilian jazz of the 70s — no surprise, as the album's filled with versions of classic songs by Milton Nascimento and Maybe one of the coolest records we've ever heard from Calibro 35 — and certainly one of the funkiest — thanks in part to a selection of tracks that are pulled from the catalog of Italian sound library genius Lesiman!

The music is very hip — unusual sonic touches alongside tight Cal Massey Blues To Coltrane gram pressing. The only session as a leader from trumpeter Cal Massey — a big influence on soulful modernism in the 60s, but an artist who showed up more in the liner notes for records than he did in the studio!

The record's a really unique one — and a set that crackles with the best sort of Fabriano Fuzion Cosmic Sindika. The music isn't as directly tied to other Guadeloupe rhythms as other A CD that brings together some important early work from altoist Marion Brown — two long tracks from the sessions for his Quartet album on ESP — and a later album issued only overseas!

The set begins with the long tracks "Capricorn Moon" and "Mephistopheles" from A tremendous achievement from music writer Aaron Cohen — a book that finally gets at the deeper, richer story of Chicago soul — the spirit of empowerment and pride that have always made us so honored to be part of the Windy City legacy! Cohen picks up where other soul writers have left Book Book. The approach is A really fantastic solo album from Alan Price — the consummation of a great run of records after Price made the early decision to leave The Animals and take off on his own!

The songwriting is great, the vocals completely charming, and the instrumentation shifted to fit the needs of the words One of our key go-to albums by The Fall — a set in which all their early promise really came into focus — with even more wit and power than before! The jagged lyricism of Mark E Smith is razor-sharp — as is the instrumentation, which is heavy on that trademark noisy guitar from Jukka Eskola Soul Trio Steamy. An excellent group, and one with a really great concept — a fresh take on a format that was big in the 60s soul jazz scene, but spun out in a very unique way — both in terms of instrumentation, and in terms of the groove!

Trumpeter Jukka Eskola heads the trio, which also features CD Jazz CD. An amazing package — three great albums by The Fall, plus lots of bonus tracks too!

First up is Hex Enduction Hour — one of our key go-to albums by The Fall — a set in which all their early promise really came into focus — with even more wit and power than before! CD Rock CD. Buari Disco Soccer. A killer blend of African roots and American rhythms — and a set that definitely lives up to the disco promised in the title!

Buari's working here with a host of New York musicians — jazzy players who include Randy Brecker and Jon Faddis on trumpet, Barry Rogers on trombone, and A trio of live performances from the duo of Kenny Barron and Mulgrew Miller — all concerts featuring just the two pianists working alongside each other, in a mode that has both players stretching out beautifully!

There's no other instrumentation at all — no bass, drums, or horns — The fantastic fourth installment in the Coin Coin project by Matana Roberts — issued quite a few years after the third, but well worth the wait! Matana recently described herself as an "arts adventurer" — and that's a pretty great term for her role on the record, which is far Neue Grafik Foulden Road. A great little record that's jazz at the core, but a lot hipper too — a great statement from London keyboardist Neue Grafik, issued on the label of that city's hip Total Refreshment Centre club!

Grafik plays plenty of great solos on piano, Fender Rhodes, and other keyboards — but there' A really tremendous collection of music — and one that really gets at the heart of the criss-crossing of Latin and African modes that took place on the Congolese scene of the 50s and 60s! Sounds and styles from Cuba and the Caribbean definitely influenced other African scenes, but they took Brandon Williams Love Factor. We loved Brandon Williams the last time around, and we love him even more here — a richly talented artist with an equal ear for jazz and soul — and a warmly collaborative spirit that makes room for great guests who include Jabari Johnson, Eric Roberson, Joe Pore, Marcus Miller, Taylor Jose Mancliere Doubout Pou Gade.

An album that's unlike anything else we've ever heard before — served up by a percussionist who spent the mid 70s touring the Caribbean and South Pacific, and who seems to have absorbed a globe's worth of rhythms in the process! The album's probably closest to a jazz fusion album — as Fredrik Ljungkvist Atlantis.
